Privacy Policy
Fantasy Yearbook turns your fantasy football league history into a yearbook of records, awards and share cards. This policy explains what information the app uses and where it goes. The short version: your league data stays on your device, we don't run accounts, and we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
Information the app uses
- League data. When you connect a league, the app downloads that league's history (teams, managers, matchups, drafts, rosters and transactions) directly from the platform that hosts it: Yahoo Fantasy, ESPN Fantasy or Sleeper. This data is stored only on your device.
- Sign-in details for your fantasy platforms.
- Yahoo: you sign in on Yahoo's own page. The app receives access and refresh tokens and keeps them in the iOS Keychain on your device. It never sees your Yahoo password.
- ESPN: for private leagues, you provide your ESPN session cookies (
espn_s2andSWID). The app stores them in the iOS Keychain and sends them only to ESPN. - Sleeper: the app uses your public Sleeper username and league IDs. It needs no password.
- App preferences. Settings such as which team is yours and any manager renames or merges are stored on your device.
What leaves your device
- Requests to fantasy platforms. The app talks directly to Yahoo, ESPN and Sleeper, and to their image servers for team logos, avatars and player photos. Those services handle your requests under their own privacy policies.
- Yahoo token exchange. Yahoo requires a secret key to finish signing in. To keep that key off your phone, the app sends a one-time authorization code (and later, a refresh token) to a small service we run on Cloudflare Workers. The service adds the key and forwards the request to Yahoo. It doesn't store or log your tokens, and it handles no other data. Cloudflare processes basic connection information such as your IP address to deliver the request (see Cloudflare's privacy policy).
- Nothing else. We don't collect your league data, and there's no Fantasy Yearbook account or server copy of your leagues. We don't sell or share information with advertisers or data brokers.
Photos
If you save a share card, the app asks for permission to add images to your photo library. It can't read or browse your existing photos.
Background refresh
With iOS Background App Refresh on, the app may update your connected leagues in the background, using the same direct requests described above.
Beta testing through TestFlight
If you join the beta through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares certain information with us, such as your name or email address (if you were invited by email), device and iOS version, crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. We use this only to fix bugs and improve the app. Apple's handling of this data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
- Inside the app, you can disconnect a platform or league and delete its downloaded data. Disconnecting removes the stored sign-in details from the Keychain.
- Deleting the app removes its league data and preferences. iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is deleted, so disconnect your platforms in the app first if you want those removed too.
- You can also revoke Fantasy Yearbook's access from your Yahoo account settings, or sign out of ESPN on the web to invalidate its session cookies.
Children
Fantasy Yearbook is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Not affiliated
Fantasy Yearbook is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Yahoo, ESPN or Sleeper.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. For material changes, we'll also give notice in the app or its release notes.
